I have A Plan for
naarmamo. I was woefully commenting that my
naarmamo pad from last year has only 26 pages left, which is rather inconvenient for the 31 days of August, and then I realised that there are 26 letters in the alphabet, and I thought I could do something with that.
And then I looked up the Cyrillic alphabet (as used in Russian) and counted letters, and if you don't count hard and soft signs, there are 31! Which is fantastic. I am a little bit obsessed with the prettiness of Cyrillic printed and cursive scrips anyway, so I can work my way through the alphabet, picking a word each day to draw, and along the way I will learn some Russian, hopefully. Maybe even the order of the Russian alphabet, which would be very helpful for looking up words in a dictionary.
For my own future reference, the Russian alphabet:
а б в г д е ё ж з и й к л м н о п р с т у ф х ц ч ш щ ъ ы ь э ю я
Yay. And I can draw the letters in printed and cursive form, and write the word I'm drawing, and have a translation, and then draw it.
Other ideas are drawing things that are a bit Who-themed, possibly. That could be hard to work into Russian. Hmm.
I am quite excited about August now. Unfortunately I have all these ideas and I can't start until August starts, because I would use up all my ideas and be stuck for things to do for
naarmamo proper.
But yay, I have a plan, and things. *g*
