For future reference
The first cigarette smoked in my apartment while I've lived here after two years is also the first cigarette I've had after sex. Now, too, I have an autobiographical spot for live Interpol vinyl. I hope she's worth it.
Plus I don't think I've ever met anyone that liked X-Files as much as I do. Game: Answer "aliens!" to every question, rhetorical or not, during an episode. It is a magical experience.
Also note from progress so far:
Aeroplane Over the Sea is in Gmaj. The chord progression is I vii IV V for the chorus. Sounds good in Dmaj and Gmin. Shoegaze guitar as replacement for voice synth, slow jazz piano chords as replacement for guitar, BPM: 76. Trumpet replaced by clean, clean guitar. During the bridge: route everything through a bit cruncher gradually save vox, then ping pong, reroute bits and then slowly exit pong until full clean at begin of chorus 4.
If I fuck with it a bit I can dialogue, if I change key. I can't sing like the guy, but I can still try to make the words as beautiful as I hear them. When I finish this it will truly be my work it seems. Note: maybe try if you could change it to 6\8 and not destroy the lyrics... a nice sweeping sound drive might work well for it...
