What fun it is...
I was in the hospital from Thurs to Sat (in case anyone was looking for me). I have a pretty good tolerance to pain-but when my right kidney felt like it was about to explode-I figured I should call the doctor's office. Here is what I know so far-major dehydration (strange since I had been drinking water like crazy), a bad uti infection, ultrasound confirmed kidney neuprohsis in both sides (one moderate one mild) and they also think I passed kidney stones. Talk about a all at once shit storm!! Now I have to be on antibiotics for the rest of the pregnancy. I hear kidney stones are like giving birth-so I guess I got a taste of what is yet to come.
But the good news is-the baby was great the entire time (and I am doing better now that I am home). It is hard to sleep when you have to use the restroom every half hour and have to unplug your big iv cart every time and wheel it with you when it has 4 bum wheels :P
Home is nice. So hopefully they won't see me back for ten weeks!
My follow up is tomorrow-so I should know more. I want to know if the neuprohsis was Lupus related-I think it can also be a pregnancy complication.
