Statistics are an interesting phenomenon, I can't lie. It's fascinating the kind of data you can interpret with them. BUT! No one EVER mentioned ANYTHING about me enjoying Statistics homework, or studying for a Stats exam. I just spent 3 hours studying - half that time was spent trying to figure out how you apply various formulas, because when I tried to do the sample problems in my book, I was coming up with numbers that were nothing near what the book said they should be. At one point I'm pretty sure I started swearing like a sailor against the subject all together. I'm surprised my neighbors didn't start banging against the wall in complaint . . . then again, considering the guys we have on the first floor, we should all be used to that sort of thing by now XP
In happier news, Clover no Kuni no Alice has stolen my soul. This is a fantastically fun game. It's my second experience with an Otomate PC game - the first being Garnet Cradle, which is absolutely beautiful, but boring as hell during the first few HOURS of playtime. Suffice to say, I didn't have the time to continue and see if Garnet Cradle got any better, so I gave up (but kept my allotment of CGs I have collected, because they are that pretty).
Ah, quick explanation for those not in the know: an Otomate game is a visual novel geared towards girls, typically involving romance and fantasy. They include such games as La Corda d'Oro, Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan, Will o'Wisp, and the Hiiro no Kakera line.
Anyways, after my not so pleasant experience with GC, I began the Clover trial with some trepidation: was I doomed to experience the same tragedy twice???? *dramatic music play here*
The answer?
NO! Right off the bat, Clover is hilarious. I was pulled into the madness that is the World of Heart (become Clover?) The art for the second game in the Alice series is a lot better than the first, so that part is enjoyable for me as well. I have to watch myself whenever I start to play, because I can play for hours on end without realizing it. (A.K.A. Tuzi was nearly late to work this morning because of Clover o.O) But huzzah! Nice to have a game I'm excited and anxious about playing, haha.
In the meantime, however, I have to manage to survive my Stats test tomorrow. And the 1st and 3rd of the month - damn you social security and pension checks! Ah well, everything will work out one way or another - such is the nature of the beast.
Ugh, and either someone's car needs a new muffler, or a skunk just passed by the apartment complex, because something reeks! *plugs nose* Then again, it could also be the plant down the street . . . oh life in the city =P
Thus, so ends our little interlude. *bows* Have a good evening, and a pleasant tomorrow!
