I finished two pieces yesterday. I completed the ecru cross for a friend's doctor, which I'd been working on for a little over two days/nights, and I designed, stitched, completed and starched a necklace as well.
Yes... "designed."
I'm sure that if I had hunted around for a while, I would have found something similar, but in this particular case, I had a design rolling around in my head for a very special necklace, and I was able to get it to work. It took me over an hour to get something sketched and begin to apply possible stitch counts to it, but the tatting itself went very quickly afterwards. Though it turned out well (in my opinion), I think it is clear that my strong points do not lie in creativity or design.
But this very special necklace is for a very special little girl. A little girl who wished for "pink things" for her birthday, and I found an adorable charm to go on the necklace. The piece will always be special to me because I will remember it as the very first thing I envisioned on my own. I hope she likes it as much as I do. :-)

Ecru Cross.
(Yes, this is the very same style that I made earlier for another friend's baby. It's what she requested, though.)
