Rather than posting someone else's pattern, would you please just post a link to Kersti's pattern?

Thank you!

As it turns out, the website was down for several hours last night, and I wasn't able to access it at all. On both Firefox and IE, so I doubt the issue was just me.

But I will add a link today. Thank you for reminding me. I'm sorry to offend.

I do understand that that happens, but there's a tiny matter of copyright. Kersti is a nice person who has done a great deal for the tatting world, and we don't want to offend her.

You didn't offend me, btw. I will ask that you remove the pattern, too. Thank you for letting folk know the website is occasionally down. That lets others know that if it's not working at the moment, they may need to try the link again at a later point.

Will do. And because I did peruse the userinfo in full last night before joining and posting, perhaps a note should be made about the requirements (ie. providing a link or ©, etc.) when posting a pattern?

It's not so much a community thing as a courtesy (and common sense, and legality, et cetera) thing. But I will communicate with the other mods and see what they think about adding that.

Oh, but I did make sure to give proper credit to Kersti (by name) even without the link last night.

And for that I thank you! Too many people are willing to just take credit for themselves. :) Thanks for not doing that!!

No, no. I'm a big link-er. I sometimes think I get carried away with links in my personal journal. ;-)

Oh, hon, you should see my journal. I'm so link-happy some days, it's ridiculous!

Thanks for handling this with a smile, by the way. I appreciate it.

Thank you, too! We've been so lucky with the comm. The members are all such lovely folks. I'm thrilled to be a maintainer on a comm with so little drama. (Gee, has there actually been any drama?? I can't recall any! Yay, LJ Tatters!!)
