YuGiOh! fan story idea #1 - Busy Atemu, Bad Grandfather
The main genre’s are Hentai - Yaoi, Romance - Shonen-ai (Boy Love), Drama, Fantasy. Others it could count as are Suspense, Action, Adventure, Psycho. I’m going to try to aim for Comedy in the mix. More so for the characters to be dealt with.
I don’t think it will be a long story, but here’s the idea:
Atemu gets his own body and starts his own life. What happened was instead of going through the door Yugi grabbed him and said something that they apparently don’t remember. They went to a blank world where Udjat (of cor, represented by her eye) appeared to them, and Atemu accept her offer of staying with Yugi and the others. He’s given his African body, and he has a normal human life span. Me being the writer he’ll have some sort of powers, even tho the mill items and the cave will still collapse.
That will be in the past of this story. In the present where the story takes place, Atemu will be an aspiring model, football player, and working part time at a food store. He’s been adopted by Yugi’s grandpa, making him Atemu Moto. It seems to me like he died at 16, but for the sake of the story I’m going to make him 18 or 19. Yugi will be a year or 2 younger. Yugi and the others are freshly graduated from high school.
Yugi and the others are still living among each other, but they moved away from hanging out with Yugi, and being around Atemu as much as they can. All accept Ryou, and they get close. Yugi notices how things change for him and his former group, but doesn’t do anything about it. He just silently accepts it, and starts regressing to his old self. He has very graphic sweet dreams of Atemu, nightmares of death, and his memory tries to replay the day he dueled Atemu but draws blank at what he said to summon Udjat and make Atemu stay. Atemu and the others don’t remember either. In fact, Udjat’s appearance has put holes in their memories of that event, and possibly other unrelated things. Atemu isn’t as bad off: He just doesn’t remember what happened right after he lost the deal, including what Yugi said, and exactly what was said between he and Udjat. He remembers seeing her eye, and waking up back at the Moto House/ Game Shop. According to the others he was conscious, and acting his version of “normal” the whole time. He doesn’t let it bother him, either way.
As Yugi comes to hard terms with losing his friends, and his mind, his other grandfather reappears into his life, much to Grandpa’s dismay. Yugi’s other grandfather did something, and was barred from them since then. Grandpa doesn’t trust him as far as he can throw him, and has to bring Atemu into the matter to keep them apart. After some pieces of connect between them successful happen Yugi decides to run away and go stay with his other grandfather. He leaves a note explaining why.
I don’t know what happens after that. I want to do a “You next action determines your feelings” type of things, but that’s too mushy… And for these characters it wouldn’t be right. Atemu would never stop caring about Yugi, but I need to do something that would show his romantic feelings in a heroic way.

The adventure part is going to find Yugi, but that’s it.
The action part are fights in the story. The fight I have planned is the fight between Atemu and the other grandfather. I might end up making that more epic than it should be. This might be were some of the fantasy come in. EPIC POWERS BATTLE, U GUISE!
The shonen ai is Yugi/ Ryou.
The shonen-ai AND yaoi is Yugi/ Atemu.
For anyone that knows anything about Psycho themed stuff, it’s obvious where that is.
The drama and suspense will be around the grandfather’s reappearance and Yugi’s connect with him.
A side story idea: As Mokuba was there at the end, his memory was effected as well. He starts showing the worse effects of Udjat’s appearance, and must go back to Egypt for help.
If I’m in a good mood I’ll hint some other pairings.
