Jo was in a similar state of denial when she showed up. "Hey."

Luke smiled up at her. "Hey," he said softly. "How was your day?"

"It was okay." Jo bent down to kiss him. "Had my chemistry workshop."

Luke clung just a little tightly as he returned the kiss. "Anything explode?"

"Only things that were meant to," Jo replied hoping she hadn't just jossed herself.

"That's my girl," Luke said, kissing her nose.

He swallowed hard. "At least for a little longer, anyway."

"Right," Jo said softly. "Your girl."

"I love you," he whispered, making room under the umbrella for her. "The weather refused to cooperate with me," he complained.

"I love you too," Jo said softly, sitting next to him. "Obviously it doesn't want you to leave."

He snuggled in closer. "Or it's reflecting my mood," he admitted. "I feel kind of gray and cold."

Jo rested her head against his shoulder. "I'm, sure we can find a way to warm you up."

Luke smiled down at her. "What did you have in mind?" he asked, running his hand along her back.

"Well, there's you, me, and privacy," Jo pointed out, tilting her head to kiss him.

"Mmm," Luke sighed happily. "So...a board game of some type?"

"Something like that," Jo agreed.
