He took a deep breath, held it, then knocked quickly on the door. "No one's home!" he said, beginning to walk away

Luke didn't "eep" out loud, but it was a close thing. "Good morning?"

"Hands out! Now!" Anakin barked. "Of all the stupid, pointless things, Luke, to put your hands near a vampire..."

Luke put his hands out immediately. "I'm fine," he insisted.

Not that Anakin would be able to tell. Luke's hands were gloved.
