So, I got back from my camping trip, but I was so exhausted, The OC premiere was the only thing keeping me awake. Right after that, I crashed. The trip was alright. Fun, nothing amazing. Although we did catch crabs and eat them (mmm!) and had to get gross in a marsh (ew!).
So, guess what I'm doing right now? Ohhh, just putting songs on my new iPod! SQUEEEEEEE! I got in the car yesterday and my dad had me open up these Amazon boxes and there it was! It made me extremely happy.
So, there was the iPod, the first shower in three days (camping doesn't always mean good hygiene, especially when you only get to take a salt water shower after you get all marsh mucky), and the season premiere of The OC. I won't give a huge rundown, so here are my pros and cons. (Oh, and re-watch The Rescue. Denise is there, but she's a white woman (and has no lines). This Denise was a black woman. And she didn't even go into a coma!)
Highlights
- Julie being the big bitch she knows she can be. I know, her character can be nice and witty, and then bitchtastic and there's no other way I'd want it. Julie Cooper is just perfect that way.
- Logan Marshal Green's fantastic acting. I think he did very well, and doesn't get enough credit.
- Seth/Ryan moments throughout the episode. (The psuedo-brotherly love and HoYay!)
- The Seth and Summerness. I know they were comic relief, but also great support systems for their friends and that's just what they needed to be.
- The Ryan, the Ryan, the Ryan. Can I say it more? Ben McK owned it. The hair, the jumpsuit, the callbacks to The Pilot and The Gamble, the straight from fan fic speech to Marissa about Trey. Ohh, wow. I adored it.
- The Trey/Ryan/Sandy bus stop scene. Brought me to tears. Defenitly the best scene of the episode by far.
- The beach/boat scenes. Cute and sweet and completely out of place, but right in The OC. Plus, I have to say they're all hot and I love them. Some more than others, some a lot less than others (MARISSA COOPER) but still...
Lowlights
- The beach/boat scenes. I loved and hated it. Maybe too out of place.
- Jimmy. He disapointed and isn't up to any good. Not exactly what I wanted. I wish he'd grow at least one testicle and not let Lady Heather run the show all the time.
- Kirsten in rehab. It was just a little too boring. Plus, Charlotte is just sketchy.
- Besides that, nothing really.
All in all, it's good to be back!
