Wow, my weekend was jam-packed.
Friday, skullycat and i went to a potluck hosted by kepp0xy and isaysquee at Kelly's friend Bronwynn's house. I knew everyone there, more or less, so that was cool.
Karen and I agreed that at least one person there wasn't used to all the weirdness that our friends display. We have some pretty messed up friends. Its awesome. Alex and I kept hitting on Kelly, and practically EVERYONE there was insulting everybody else in some way. So awesome. So much fun. So much good food. We also had some great convo, and a few of us geeked it up. We should do stuff like that more often.
Around 9-ish, I took Karen home so she could put the baby to bed, then I headed over to goldenrockstar 's place to see ppl there. The whole gang was there, which was almost weird since we haven't all been together like that in a while. The guys played rock band while Amber and I watched. It was a good time. They totally rocked out to 'Eye of the Tiger' which is the easiest song. Earlier at the potluck, we had rocked out to that same song, except with Jensen Ackles. Hee.
I fell asleep around 1am on Drew's couch, so it was time to go. I got home, read for a bit, then finally went to sleep.
Only to have my sister wake up me way earlier than I had intended to wake up to tell me we were meeting her friend at the mall to go shopping.
I was not impressed.
But she bought me a coffee and we got all the shopping we needed to do done (after 5 1/2 hours). Then we had to race home, shower and get dressed, and get READY for my sister's Work Xmas Party.
We had a blast. I got drunk with her friends and co-workers, and made a few friends myself. I had 6 drinks and 3 shots (but as we all know, shots don't count when you're drinking other things because they are so little), so I was pretty happy by the time the party was over.
We had to wait 30 mins for a cab, i'm not sure it was because of the snow or not, but whatever. So then I called my ex and basically pimped myself out to him so he would give us a ride home, and even though he was tempted, he refused. So i called him a sucky friend and my sis and I waited for our cab.
Our cabbie was nice, and took it really slow because the roads were awful. We arrived home alive and well, if not a little cold, and still drunk. Good times were had. Also? My sis won a DVD/VHS player! W00t!
Yesterday me and my sis went over to skullycat 's place to decorate cookies with her mom, isaysquee , sheena and aggie. Chelsea showed up later, and was kinda like our 'tester'. Much fun was had. karen and i were mean to each other in our usual loving way, and everyone was having a great time eating and mixing and teasing and such.
It was nice to just spend some time with the girls and hang out and talk and stuff (and listen to christmas music). I'd like to do that more too.
This week is Maren's birthday week, and yes, my sister celebrates for a whole week (if not longer) for her birthday.
