But seriously, it was like, no, its Cait's bday, and she absolutely LOVES and ADORES this show, lets be nice to her today!!
So Steve took Danny on a date (and, in case you missed it, Steve totally wants to take Gracie there too - so it can be a family thing!!!). And they have a moment to talk about Steve's feelings and how his dad used to take him there. (and then they talk about mysterious envelopes, Wo Fat and Jenna Kaye!!! so hopefully she comes back!!!) Then when they finally get to where they're going, Danny is all, ok ok, this wasn't so bad. (and then of course Steve finds a dead body, which is ok because HE PACKED FOR SUCH AN OCCASSION!!) then he proceeds to HURT himself and makes Danny worried.
(can i just say that I love how 1) it was Danny & Steves DAY OFF, 2) that they spent it TOGETHER {even though pretty much every other waking moment of their LIVES are spent together}, 3) that Chin and Kono knew they were totally on a date, and 4) they used the Army Evac to get Steve to safety? Like... is that normal? i don't even know, I don't even care, this was a pretty awesome present!!)

But... just... fuck, man. Chin took the fall for his Uncle, because the man loved his wife SO FUCKING MUCH HE STOLE FOR HER. and Chin, because he LOVES HIS FAMILY JUST AS MUCH, took the blame. Because his auntie was sick, and his uncle needed to take care of her, and he was thrown out of his family, because he loved them.
i just... CHIN, I LOVE MY FAMILY TOO. I WOULD TOTALLY DO WHAT YOU DID.

I guess it hasn't been easy for her, being stuck in the middle, having her family being on opposite sides. I know i would hate it. Having one person that i adored and respected, and having the rest of my family treat them like the plague, thinking the worst of them. that would suck.
And Ok, i will be honest, i was a little distracted in the show by my new Laptop (his name is Leonidas), and I was trying to set it up and everything (and looking at pics from my party on the weekend) so I was kinda not exactly paying close attention to the actual case. I mean, I know what happened, and I know who did it and all that, but the bits in between, i may have missed. Its ok, i'm going to re-watch it when i get home, so then I might have more to squee about later. I'm pretty sure i missed an awesome interrogation (I love it when they switch up the partners. I love Danny and Chin just because they're COPS and its awesome to see them work together.) I think i missed something with Steve and Danny and Fish, but, like i said, i'm rewatching it tonight... (SHUT UP, DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT, I JUST REALLY LIKE THE SHOW AND THEY WROTE THIS ONE FOR MY BIRTHDAY, I'M JUST TRYING TO APPRECIATE IT TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL, OKAY? GOD.)
AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN!!!
the ending bit, with Danny MANHANDLING A WOMAN OFF HIS MAN. and getting pissy because HE, the guy who fucking SAVED HIS BFF, isn't even allowed to sign the cast, but some pretty waitress is? OH HELL NO.
But its ok, because its Kamekona to the rescue - stealing a table cloth and making his OWN sling to get the attentions of said Pretty Waitress. I love it when they go out for Team Dates. It gives me a happy feeling, inside.
In conclusion, Tater loves 5-0. and 5-0 loves her right back.
