I'm a Georgia Voter. I voted yesterday in the Presidential Election for Bush and I voted for Isakson for the Senate. I also voted "Yes" to the Amendment to ban Same-Sex Marriage in Georgia. Lastly, I voted to allow liquor "by the drink" where I live. That was really important, too. :)

What does letting two people who love one another marry, regardless of their gender, do to harm an already shattered institution.
You know what it does?
It restores some of the institution's dignity.
I can't say more, in the future keep your small-minded self-righteousness to yourself.
I so repulsed & furious I'm outta words.

It's bad enough that my I am somewhat obligated to share with my husband, but I dunno. I just think this was a loaded post...

You are seriously overreacting.
It's like you are in the fight to leagalize pot for every known use and someone writes in their LJ that pot should be legal but for medical use only and you jump off in their shit. That may be a loose comparison but consider who you are chastizing for voicing her opinion.
This is kinda a wired way of looking at it, but it's kinda funny too:

Take this out on somebody else. The results of the poll (because the rest of the country voted too) show that there are plenty of other people out there you need to direct your loss of respect to.
If you desire to form an opinion based off of a post on a journal and not off of what you actually see around you and know already, you are worse than those who hate homosexuality and have thrown yourself into a whole new shallow category.
With that said everyone knows how you truly feel about any and every particular issue out there, in here, and everywhere. You have no problem expressing how you feel and what you truly believe. Why should someone else be chastized for doing the same?

Now let's clear something else up here. I didn't post my ballot decisions on-line for the world to see, your girlfriend was the brainiac who did that. Had I been so brilliant as to do so and someone wanted to voice their opinion of my opinion, more power to them because that is the point of a public forum. If she's not prepared for the repercussions of posting such things she should keep them to herself.
I only post to LJ because I want to know what other people's opinions on what I have to say are, in fact if no one is reading and commenting on the entries why bother putting it on-line in the first place.
Take it or leave it. I will not be returning to this journal because I know how to change the channel when I don't like what I see and hear.
