On my way back to work this morning (at 6 AM because I woke up at 1 after two hours of sleep, and couldn't get back to sleep the rest of the night...) the temp was down to -7 degrees out by Mead!!! And what did I do? I stood still for three hours out in the -7 and slowly rising, and hung up more christmas lights of course! Pretty sure that a couple of my fingertips started to get frostbite, so I had to go find something I could do with bigger warmer gloves. Another interesting sensation is feeling a few tears run down your cheek for an inch or two and then freeze to your skin. Not that it was a bad morning, just heard a song that got me remembering someone from my past... It's also fun feeling your lungs start to freeze if you breathe too deep! But I got some wonderful photos of the sunrise which I'll have to post later when i get back home. Never have I been so glad to see the sun touch the top of the trees as it climbed over the horizon, because I new it wouldn't be long before it was shining down on us, at least for a little while to warm the air and spirits... And our oldest cat, a 23 year old tiger, was very happy to have fresh water to drink before it too froze in his bucket.
