Snow is wonderful!
There's something great about hanging christmas lights and listening to festive music while you're standind outside in one of the first good snowfalls of the season. It's even better when as you're out enjoying that peaceful moment along side the highway, suddenly a minivan trying to make a left turn over shoots the turn lane, and finds themselves bottomed out in the median in the middle of rush hour winterstorm traffic. Wait, let me specify, it wasn't the fact that this poor family slid off the road that made my evening better, it's the fact that I was at work, and had the resorces necessary to extract thier vehicle from the ditch for them without adding to the already heavy workload of state troopers and tow trucks on a night like this. Actually, we did have one trooper pull over as we were hooking up the tow chain. it was actually perfect timing as he had a flashlight just exactly when I needed to figure out where the heck to attach a chain hook to the minivan without pulling off a chunk of plastic.... Anyhow, I have to go help my friend wrap some plastic around his windows to save a little on the heatloss of his house... Have a safe night...
