I need a new phone.
What type?
Well whatever happens, I will not be able to get a contract. My credit rating is shot to smithereens, that it'd be impossible to get one.
So lets hash out what I want.
I've been wanting this phone since forever. The blue one.
But
koboshi_ichigo went and bought one, so I'd be feeling the copycat vibe if I did so. But hers is a red one. And on the plus side, I'd have someone to help me out if summat mucks up.
koboshi_ichigo wants me to buy an LG Lollipop 2, the upgrade version of the one above:
Which I would happily do so, expect the colours are terrible. Beyond terrible. I cannot see myself owning anything those colours, let alone a phone. That, and it may possibly cost more.
Do I give up on my crusade for a purdy phone that does everything i really really want it to, and just settle for one that'll make do, cause it's half cheaper? Maybe. But then, this last phone has lasted me about 7 years, cause I'm like that. It's Pay as you Go, I can't afford to buy a new one every year. So I might as well go for one that's gonna last me plenty of time.
PLUS I'm going to be in Japan in a year I say that like it's certain I've passed hah as if, so maybe one that would work with a Japanese sim card? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows.
So what do I want in a phone....
Fast Internets. (but I'm not expecting miracles)
The ability to type in Japanese.
The ability to blog, with photos taken on said phone.
Good photos (not amazing, but y'know, at least a couple of megapixels, and a flash).
No touchscreen type (cause that pisses me off. I can only just cope with it on my iTouch)
A flip phone. Well actually, I'm not too fussed on this, but I like flip phones. I'm not too keep on it all being on 1 bigass square thing, like a blackberry (but i could probably cope and get used to it), as I'm used to my small slidey one, but I preferred my flip one, cause I was less likely to answer calls and whatnot that way (or even make them. hell, that happened far too often this this one).
People tell me to invest in an iPhone. Well, they're damned expensive. That, and then I'd feel like i was wasting it's true potential, cause I have an iTouch, and I like to my music and my phone to be separate. Plus duh, expensive. And I've had my iTouch about a year and a half, and I have cracks in it already. Not so hardy.
So, jury is still out. Sigh.
