RIP Fester
Even though I didn't know Fester that well, I am still sad to know he will no longer grace our presence. Being relatively new to the Rocky community, I haven't had the opportunity to really get to know that many people. I first saw Fester at A/C '08. I saw him dressed as Lady Divine, and his costume was so good, I actually thought it was Lady Divine. I can see why John Waters was impressed. Josh and I pretty much stayed to ourselves at A/C '08, being new to Rocky, and kinda star struck, too.
We saw him again at Cincy-con. I loved his "Little Black Dress" Janet. It was awesome. Not being so star struck any longer, we started actually talking with other people, and had a few conversations with Fester. I thought it was awesome he dressed as Fester for the costume party. I almost dressed in a Wednesday Addams-esque costume, but changed my mind last minute. Little sad now, but glad that Liz Beaux ended up doing so herself, and people got pictures of them together.
I actually spent more time hanging out with Fester at LarryCon. I mentioned to him that Josh and I want to travel and see other casts, and Help Me Mommy was definitely one we want to see. I really wish I had gotten the chance to get to know Fester better. He is someone I would have been happy to call a friend.
My heart goes out to Fester's family (Rocky and non), and friends. I'll miss you, my friend.
