The shoot left Billie cold inside and out; feeling weird about giving such a personal interview when he hadn't done anything recently, not publicly, anyway. He found himself laughing about it later at Mike's, warm blue eyes chasing away the chill of peeling paint and broken instruments.
"It was deconstructed, dude. Belt on the dresser, no sheets on the bed, shit like that - like an artificial memory made up of places we crashed way back in the beginning."
Mike's grin became positively lascivious. "Except back then, your belt'd still be in your jeans and they'd've both been on the floor."
