A happy birthday and hello and such

I shall make a proper post in the near future. Suffice to say that after my last post about going for Mexican with the housemates (which was okay, and I was nervous b/c I don't spend much time with them and I am always nervous in groups of people where I don't really know anyone well), my laptop decided it didn't want to play with Windows anymore. Whether or not that will be a fixable issue is as yet undetermined. I decided to use a chunk of my Amazon UK gift certificates from Christmas and buy myself a netbook. It is wee and light and super portable and pretty (and white!). I enjoy that the cover says Eee. *g* The Internet continues to be a stroppy twat on occasion but otherwise, I am now back online. But haven't looked at LJ since the beginning of the month, obviously, so if it was important, please point me at it as I won't be trying to catch up.
