Oh eljay, how I have missed thee
*kisses WS* I am back online!!!!!! (Take six, Mr. Pratchett.) Oh God I missed this. I have a shitload of work to do yet to get things set up properly as they did, indeed, replace the hard drive (and partitioned it fucking strangely, too, into three separate sections - it was two before!). And there are some weird software accompaniments too as they reinstalled the factory software, but that's the UK version, so while Windows is obviously the same, I had shortcuts to eBay.co.uk and Amazon UK and stuff on here, lol. The only bad thing is that I don't seem to be able to do anything with the Firefox profile file I have. It's a bit out-of-date as I created it when I moved everything from the desktop to WS, but that means only six months' worth of bookmarks, etc. lost, not starting from scratch. :/ But I can't get the file to open with anything, and FF only asks if I want to import anything from IE, so... If anyone has a clue about this, I'd appreciate some advice. Right now I'm obscenely grateful for gmail's label system and eljay's memories function!
I may very well spam y'all over the next few days as I deal with the withdrawal. ;) I haven't looked on LJ at all because the backlog just gets so big so fast that I'd lose all available time to only minuscule amounts of catch-up and then not remember where I was anyway, since I couldn't obviously save it on the library computer. But there are sooo many things I've wanted to post about and could not, woe. So while I'll have to just ignore a lot of that, I'll definitely do some backdated sort of stuff. Like going to see the Foxboro Not Tubs open for Greenish Day last Saturday with looking_spiffy. :D Which, btw, all of you who looked at that photo and went, 'Aw, Billie,' should have your fangirl licences revoked as that is not!Billie, the singer/guitarist for Greenish Day. Bwahahahahaha FOOLED YOU! Damn good imitation of The Shirt he had, though. Hee.
