Good night

Had a really good time tonight, despite the weird guy behind me who kept trying to chat me up while K was in line for the bathroom and her boy was out smoking. Apparently my "fuck off" vibes were not operational. Ultimately, this is a good thing but I'm not so much for random convos with strangers that don't interest me, especially when he's asking what was my favourite act so far, etc.. Ha, I told him the one that had been up right before intermission and he gave me a startled look and finally shut up - it was the Hokey Pokey! LOL. It was basically a little audience participation thing and the "special dance" ended up being the Hokey Pokey. But, I really DID enjoy it; it was hilarious and they were having such fun. I could go on and on, but most of the sheer awesomeness is lost in translation. It is, alas, very context-dependent. Pink Velvet Burlesque is one of the non-people-related things I am definitely going to miss about Halifax.

There were flyers in the lobby area for a belly-dance show the first weekend in March, though, so K's going to get us tickets for that since the pre-sale tix are at a store not far from where she works. The one PVB girl who's also doing that show is phenomenal. I hope she gets to go really *do* something with her skills because omg, the way she can move is unbelievably stunning.

It's been feeling like Saturday for me all day, unsurprisingly as I took the day off and went running around. I did see someone from work at the mall while I was in between appointments this afternoon, while I was holding a shopping bag. Oops, lol. Mind you, she had one too and I have no idea if she was also playing hooky or if she had a scheduled day off, but I'm not worrying too much about it. Personal time is just that: personal. I don't have to explain myself. And even if I did, I was actually in between appointments, so.

The reason for the shopping bag is a yay though - found mahself a pair of capris and two tops, all on clearance so the three came to about what one article of clothing would have regularly. I haven't had a pair of wearable capris that weren't pyjamas for years, and my capri pyjamas died last year, so I was most pleased about that.

Speaking of K, she may be poking her head in here at some point soon, though she'll likely be very quiet at least to start with. She's not involved in any specific fandoms (though she lurves the Whedonverse) but she's fen all the same. It'll be more than a little bizarre for the arrow to go RL --> LJ for once but I'm sure I'll adjust!
