As of yesterday, I acquired a very busy weekend. I'd already planned to go through boxes of books on Sunday, since Jeff is coming up next weekend and I promised her that she could have first pick of what I didn't want anymore. Meaning I need to know what I *have*, lol. And then there's the coworker who's getting married next weekend's stagette tomorrow night. Which is about the lamest thing ever, imo. It's the same thing that group normally does on Friday nights (yup, karaoke), and her sister who lives in Alberta only notified people yesterday. I don't care so much about the last minute notice - I know when the wedding is, so I sort of figured there might be something going on this weekend - but her email was along the lines of, "Well, if you have questions call the bride, and oh yeah, bring silly stuff like dick-shaped straws or whatever you feel might make it more fun for her." *tears at hair* You know what? Ignorance of wedding-related etiquette is a LOAD OF HORSESHIT in this day and age. Not only can you find out everything you need to know online, it's pure fucking common sense that it might be nice to actually PLAN something, ahead of time, for your own sister's fucking stagette. Fuck me gently, what a stupid thing to do.
Anyway, Cass and I are going to do something or other on Saturday night and then she's gonna stay over and help me with the books. Yay for real friends who don't mind the shitty stuff. I think I may beg off the going *out* part in favour of a movie or something right here. Really not a good day today and I don't think I'll be up for two nights out in a row, especially with a busy weekend planned for *next*, too. :-/
