I am determined to find a pair
of capri pants somewhere that actually fit me and do not look like
slightly too short pants that I must have bought before my recent
growth spurt. *snerk* The problem is, I'm basically right on the
line of height between petite and normal clothes, but the only reason I
qualify as petite is b/c I have short legs, lol. Consequently,
petite clothes don't fit b/c my torso is proportioned "normally" but
normal pants are always too long. Which is fine with your
standard kind of pants, I just get them hemmed, no big deal. But
capri pants tend to hit about an inch above my ankle, and that looks
freaking ridiculous, LOL. I have exactly one pair: they fit
perfectly and I love them, but they are my pyjamas, for crying out
loud. I wear them to Pyjama Day and otherwise, they stay in the
house lol. I did find one pair today that might have been
awesome, but the store had one size down and one size up from my
size. Argh. And they were bright pink too, which makes it
that much more piss-me-off-y.
So, I came home with the CD Lullabies to Paralyze
by Queens of the Stone Age, a cute T-shirt, a brooch, a pair of dangly
silver earrings and a beautiful long, multi-strand necklace in silver
with different shades of pink beads. And sunscreen, lol.
Because summer has actually arrived and it went from rainy
Novemberesque weather to freaking hot sunshine in less than 24
hours. Of course, the sunscreen would be the only item that I
actually needed to buy, although I do have a general tee shortage so
that was a nice find. I explain the necklace & earrings by
the words "clearance sale" and the brooch and CD by "obsession,"
lol. I'm addicted to brooches right now and it's that pretty
apple green that I can't seem to find a top that fits in, even though I
have this great eyeshadow to wear with it, so I needed *something* that
shade. ;-)
Queens of the Stone Age is insanely addictive, too. I listened to
the whole CD in the car while driving around and I love it. It's
so weird, lol. It totally reinforced my impression that I should
be listening to it through the haze of something mindaltering.
Hee. I'll settle for the music itself being the mindaltering
experience, lol.
Speaking of music, I'm about fifteen minutes into Spiderman 2 and I'm
really noticing the music now that I know most of it. It's
different than when I saw it in the theatre and it was all new. :-)
