Underling
I post about local restaurants sometimes in the local forums. Recently I posted about Gotham Bagels, which is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I wrote that they have some tasty pineapple juice that the owner informed me was perfected by sally, whom I termed "one of his hottie underlings". I went in today wanting to try their pastrami, which is house cured.
When I arrived, the owner said to sally, "underling, come over here" and then introduced me to sally. He demanded a high five for some reason too. Uh oh!! She seemed a bit embarrassed, perhaps almost as embarrassed as I was. But I found it quite amusing that he referred to her as "underling". I got the feeling he'd been giving her grief about that post for a little while.
Sorry, sally! I'll think of a good phrase to refer to him and post that, so you can have sweet revenge.
On the up side he gave me a free bialy and magic bar. Just what I needed after having 2 buttermilk donuts at the market. Going to have to hit the gym today methinks.
