Hello world, did you miss me?

Wow, as it really been more than a month since I posted anything? I feel like I blinked and March was gone and then I blinked again and we're halfway through April. Looking back, it really shouldn't have passed so quick because so much happened. If you like, you can read all about the craziness of the past few weeks, or you can just skip to the end ( Read more... )

Hi bb! I have in fact missed you - I contemplated sending you a PM a few days ago but decided not to in the end, thinking maybe you were having internet problems and therefore would probably not even get it. Anyway! Glad to see you're back.

I'm so sorry about your nana's passing - I've been thinking more and more of my own grandparents and how old they are and how they might soon pass away too, and I have no idea how to deal with those thoughts, never mind what'll go down when it actually happens. I hope your family gets over the loss.

I'm also sorry you've broken up with your boyfriend; even if it was a long time coming and you weren't good together like you once were, I bet it's still hard to say goodbye to that stage of your life. Maybe now you'll have a new, more fulfilling stage, with someone who's on the same page as you and you'll both benefit from the relationship :) I'm crossing my fingers for you.

Also, sucks about your mom. Mine does that too sometime - I come to her for comfort and instead of getting good advice or "it'll be all right" or even a cup of tea, I usually get "you should have done this or that" and "why did you do that?" So yeah, moms sometimes suck. Much like you and your sister, I sometimes bitch about my mom with my sisters, who are both very different from me but we can still unite over the fact that our parents fucked us all up. Parents are like that. I can only hope that we won't fuck up our own children as badly, when the time comes :P

I'm glad you're back on LJ - I was really happy when we became LJ friends because you strike me as an interesting person and when it comes to Kurtofsky/Karomel, the more the merrier ;) And your sister is right about canon vs fandom - statistically speaking, fandom kicks canon's butt on every single front. Us fans can make anything happen, and while canon does have its power, in fandom we can do whatever we want and enjoy it :) Go catch up with your favorite AUs and get back into gear on your own Kitten!Kurt fic - fandom awaits :)

Oh and pet your kitty for me - what's her name? =^_^=

Aw, thanks for all your kind words! If my mother could say half this we would get along so much better.

My cat's name is Jade and she's a long hair tabby with really intense green eyes and she was a stray I found under the deck when I was in high school. Kevin's allergic so I had to keep her at my mom's when we were living together and having her back is one of the good things that came from our breakup. She's also my inspiration for Kitten!Kurt since she's really prissy and stuck up but she becomes the friendliest kitty in the world at the slightest possibility of food. She's also a little on the chubby side :)

Aww, she sounds so cute :) My two cats are both short-haired; one's a ginger tabby (quite uncommon in females!) called Bilbi (which is the Hebrew pronounciation of Pippi Longstocking) and refuses to be petted anywhere but on her head and neck. Seriously, she hisses and runs away if anyone tries to pet her back! The other's a tricolored little beast who's nearly deaf, so accordingly, she's the loudest cat EVER. I swear, her meows could raise the dead. She's fearless in a stupid kind of way (wants to play with Dobermen and moving garbage trucks, sticks her head into places that even a cat would normally avoid) so we've called her Buffy after Buffy the Vampire Slayer :D
