WE GOT A HOUSE!

Un-believable! (in the only way Hanf could truly say it) Last Friday, the apartment and housing lists were released at a couple of local realtors. We picked up two list and spent the rest of the day researching, using mapquest to find these places. Because we needed a four bedroom, and refused to live anywhere but near downtown or campus, our number of choices became quite small. After going to a few of the open houses on Saturday, that number became two. We had one other choice with another realtor, but the current residents decided to renew at the last minute. So on Tuesday, when we handed in our application to the ONE realtor, our chances of getting any of the two choices were quite slim, especially considering the fact that the open houses at those two places were jam packed with interested tenenants.

Luckily, I was smart enough to ask the woman showing the houses what we could do to improve our chances of getting a place. She told us that some people actually make portfolios about themselves, to show the owners what kind of people they are. So that's what we did. Each of us, Andy, Micah, and myself (excluding the Spanish bound 4rth resident, Mr. Robbie) each created a page about our individual selves. I also made an introduction page to along with it. I made it with the idea that we had to "sell" ourselves to the owners, to distinguish ourselves from all the other candidates. Apparently it did the trick. Andy left me a message while I was in class today say that they had called him and told him we had a house, our first chice even! When he talked to the realtors, they said that the owners were "quite impressed with what we had put together!"

So, so far, my day has just been getting better and better. I decided to attach the what we handed in below. But I do admit, they look a little bit nicer on the photographic paper I printed them on. :) Anyways, enjoy.

BTW this is a house for NEXT school year, starting August 15th. Sorry, but no pics yet. But if you're interested, it's quite close to campus.

Whooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooo!

So excited!
