Pan has two of these. I bought them for her to help her vent her rage when I realized how much she enjoys wrestling using her entire self as a weapon.
She doesn't wrestle so much these days (except with the kitchen rug when she's trippin' balls,) but what she does kind of a lot now is prop up her chin to lengthen her airway so she can breathe more easily. Sprawling out on her belly works okay, but what really does it for her is to keep her head raised, for some reason.
Well, and so one day a while back I noticed the similarity between the width of her Kickeroos and her preferred head elevation and I got into the habit of propping one of them up under her chin when I could tell she was in distress.
Mostly it works really well, but I find that sometimes when she's at her windowbed, she wants to face away from the window (where a Kickeroo is waiting on the sill) and so, due to her habitual restlessness, her position and the size of her bed, her other Kickeroo keeps falling off, no matter what I do. She won't move and I can only put it back so many times before she gets mad -- twice, basically -- and so she's been left to her own wheezy devices far more than I would like.
Anyway this morning I had the idea to place that Kickeroo under her blanket rather than on top of it -- for traction, like.
And wouldn't you know, it's still there. Helping.
