The way you characterise Ami is brilliant. It's like the slow unwrapping of a gift. You have no idea what is inside, but as layer of layer of wrapping paper is removed, the pieces fall together and then when you have the whole thing in your hands, it could only be this from the get go. (Please tell me that you understand what I'm trying to say here.)
I do! I'm glad her multiple layers show through, because I was trying to think how someone like Sasha would get together with someone like Ami and the answer was that they have a lot more in common underneath than anybody would suspect of Ami. I couldn't help but remember how Ami fixated on her crush in that movie special, or how she was the first one of their group to join the Three Lights fan club.
He's the grown-up version of his Yellow Car counterpart (perhaps more cynical, but we have yet to get to that).

Aww. *blush* I was worried that the format jumped around too much and that Ami's character wasn't showing the way I wanted it to, and even though it's about Ami and Sasha, not much about him gets told, other than the parts that she's fixated on.

Yeah. I think Sasha harbors resentment for anybody who doesn't appreciate or respect Jaden. Of course, Sasha only knows what he saw, he doesn't actually know that Mars considered Jadeite inferior, only that it seemed that way.
