I missed last week's topic. Quelle dommage. Ah well, life moves on and as such, here is

This may seem a bit unkind, but humanity in general has always made me laugh. Not so much in a light-hearted 'what fools these mortals be'-type manner though, I hasten to assure you. It's more of an 'I told you so'-type chortle. Humanity for all its accomplishments has failed to evolve, change or grow as a race.

You might say that I am not much better, but it is not my doing that the planet has been stripped bare. That there is no sunlight, no animals, no trees. That everything is synthesized. Their capitalistic, hedonistic culture brought this ruin upon them. I and my kind benefit from it, but then it has never mattered to humans about the wars we fought. Very few of you care how many of the women, men, children, what-have-you or my people have been destroyed for their lack of 'humanity.'

They didn’t think we’d endure. They didn’t think that one day it would all come crashing down upon their heads and they would lose everything for they had learned nothing.

So here we are. And I laugh. I sip my wine, smirk and watch as they continue to pursue the same course of events in this Matrix as they would have in the real world. I consider my right.

I suppose that is better than saying what else makes me laugh. I'll leave it at that for now.
