Am I sensing some RSN bitterness? No one can deny what the Yankees have done this year. The Red Sox had plenty of opportunities to put it away, and they didn't.
That's what separates the mediocre from the amazing.
Because amazing teams give up a 3-0 lead in a championship series! :D
I'm happy though, because the one Sox-Yankees game I went to this season, the Red Sox won, and what's more so, I made a little girl cry when I applauded A-rod for striking out.
Amazing teams also win 26 world championships. Somehow, I think it makes up for it. ;-)
It's a shame you didn't make it to the massacre five game Yanks/Sox series. It's a shame I didn't get to go to that. Those tickets were probably worth more than my life.
LOL I'm glad I didn't go either, as I could have. I still don't understand though, my friend's dad had a freebie for tickets to any Sox home game, and he chose the detroit-sox game instead of the yankees game. wth?
I can understand some excitement for seeing a Detroit game, but I can't understand choosing Tigers/Sox over Sox/Yanks. That's a rivalry you can't beat. And what I'd give for free tickets of my choice (to a Yankees game, of course, unless I'm at Fenway for a Sox/Yanks game). How'd that come about?
