"You look like crap, Schuldig," Morpheus says bluntly. His mind carries undercurrents of something close to concern, though. He likes Schu, in his fucked-up way.

Not really a question. Morpheus wasn't trained for team work, but his telepathic roommate was.

"Any idea who's responsible?"

We're looking into who and why right now. Once we find out, we're gonna put a deep hurting on the perp.

"My ability to See past and present is more reliable than my ability to See the future," Morpheus tells him. The offer to help Schu find out who fucked with his team is implied.

Morpheus nods, leaning on the back of Schu's couch.

::Schu leans back to touch him a bit.::

Morpheus starts running his fingers through Schu's hair lightly.

Mmmm. That's nice. I just need a bit of time to settle my brain....

"I've heard broken links are hell at first," Morpheus comments, continuing to stroke his fingers through Schu's hair.

They are. It's like having something torn out of you, and you have this hole you're bleeding out of.

The description strikes a chord in Morpheus, one deep enough to stir some of the softer emotions he buried a long time ago. He remembers feeling like that.

"Is there anything I can do to help?"

The broken link space I'll have to heal on my own, and vengeance has to wait until I have the right target. The petting is nice....

There can be more petting, then. Schu should be flattered! He's probably only the second person to see signs of the man Morpheus used to be since the end of his punishment for the Sumeragi debacle.
