Summer, Summer, Summer
Josh is amazing.
I love our relationship. I wish I was as mature as I am now with Connor. He deserved so much more. But you learn, that's what life is all about I guess.
I know it sounds like, really 5th grade crushish but there are things I notice about Josh and I's relationship that I really do think are "special".
For instance, when we hiked, he lead about 50% of the time and I lead about 50% of the time, but when the trail got treaterous or rough, he lead. I think that's important I liked that a lot.
Also, when it was time to clean the cabin, we just did it...we didn't even talk about who is doing what - we just got things done and didn't need to tell the other person what to do. It's like we just mesh - and get it. Like it's genuinely there.
But what I think is the greatest, is how he gets up with me in the morning, even on days he doesn't have work or doesn't have to be at work at 11 or 3...He also makes me sammiches in the morning and/or will hop in the shower with me when he could be sleeping!
One night too, I couldn't sleep and started talking to him at 4:00 am and he stayed up with me until 5:30 scheduling things, planning and mostly talking.
I'm so glad that we communicate well, and that we listen to one another, and that I don't have to worry about him turning into a foolish asshole when he drinks. I love that he puts me first and honestly wants the best for me.
People make mistakes, and if his biggest one will ever be that he didn't realize what he had, until he didn't have it anymore - I'll take that - hands down.
