Love-Hate the Holidays Final Update
Okay, seeing as Christmas is over (and it's time to get started on my shopping for next year) a final re-cap of the List.
Holiday Things to Try on my Campaign to not Hate the Holidays:
1. Advent calendars. Probably would work better if I had more done ahead of time.
2. Gingerbread people. (Didn't actually make them, but one was consumed.)
3. Gingerbread houses.
4. Fruit cake.
5. Watch "White Christmas."
6. Send holiday cards. (Must remember to have ALL cards sent out by the second week next year.)
7. Watch "A Christmas Story."
8. Attend holiday festivities.
9. Attend work related holiday festivities. (That was hilarious.)
10. Finish my f***ing shopping. (Preferably before the last day before Christmas. Maybe I should set a deadline?)
11. Read The Stupidest Angel (Christmas with zombies remains awesome.)
12. Bake a Buche Noel cake.
Okay. That's not so bad. Only three things still on the list. (Well, four if we're not counting #2.) And while I don't think I enjoyed the holidays any more than I usually do, at least working on the list kept me busy enough to not think about it.
Definitely need to do the advent calendar again next year.
