fuck you smashing pumpkins for charging $58.50 for tickets! it's not even the original lineup, if it was i might consider it. smashing pumpkins is one of those bands i've loved forever, ever since i've been into music, but i've never seen them live. i sure as hell am not paying that much to see them in a seated venue. goddamn it, i got excited for a minute there too!
i've had sooooo many thing to get done in the past couple days, and i am happy to say that i did all of them! i feel pretty accomplished. hopefully this means tomorrow i don't have to do anything after i get off work.
went to work today for like 4 hours, for a color class. it's always worth it though, i love our wella colors of the world classes. we get them at least twice a year, for free. fun new color techniques to keep us from getting bored, techniques that are relatively quick to apply but result in a big change and can set us apart from other stylists. really fun and helpful stuff. i love how everyone always refers to us as "the fun salon" or "the cool salon" in comparison to other salons they've been to/taught at. we are anything but boring! i just can't imagine doing hair for a living and *not* wanting to constantly try new stuff. i thought that was the whole point in getting into a creative industry and not getting a desk job?
