heather and i went to ram's head last night to see msi. for the 248965938659th time or something like that, i've lost count (i think it's actually either the 12th or 13th time), so we didn't bother trying to get to the front and mingle with the idiots this time, we were too tired. there's always so much good people watching to be done at msi shows. there are certain things you will see at every single msi show (and lots of them):

-people wearing fishnet shirts with either a wifebeater, tank top, or bra. i think that's the dresscode for it, i see it so much. must be because jimmy wears fishnet shirts constantly.
-girls dressed like schoolgirls
-people with really bad hair. i wish i could have taken a picture. seriously. i tried. the one guy with the long black hair and a chunk of short completely fried bleached hair on top. OMG.
-people with really bad makeup
-people wearing things that don't match at all
-white t-shirts that the wearer wrote dumb shit all over
-skirts or dresses with sneakers
-people that are wearing so many neon colors it hurts your eyes
-someone in a random costume (this time it was "chickenman")
-someone who is trying to look exactly like jimmy
-people who try to liberty spike their hair with gel. or the "15 year old goth kid" look.
-little kids who came with their parents (apparently we were standing in that section)
-most of all: PEOPLE TRYING WAY TOO FUCKING HARD TO LOOK "UNIQUE" AND ENDING UP LOOKING INCREDIBLY STUPID
i'm sure i'll think of more. these people don't even realize they're stereotypes. i feel like such a bitch for it, but i look around and think "dumbass, dumbass, dumbass".

i thought they played too much new stuff and not enough old stuff. maybe that's because i've been lazy about hearing the new stuff much. but it wasn't a balanced mix. i'm not 100% sure we left at the end, but we left as soon as we thought it was probably over. they always play some old song (not one of their songs) over the speakers when it's over. i didn't even notice what song it was, but we left, since that's usually the cue and we wanted to avoid the crowd. we had fun anyway though. the making fun of people part is the best part of going to see them. and the times when we actually feel like going through the effort of standing in the front and throwing dollar store items on stage for them. that's been really good times in the past. i just didn't have it in me this week. just too tired for it.

oh and as soon as we got there i got a text message from richie saying he locked himself out of the house. he was able to get through an unlocked window but my phone had no reception so i didn't know that til the show was over.

dumb people, msi, concerts, rants
