busy week. fridays i normally don't go out since i get off late and have to be up early on saturdays for work, but heather and mike were supposed to go see jeff dunham (he's that comedian with the puppets), heather had purchased the tickets a while back, and mike wasn't feeling well so i was nominated to go. it was at the lyric, the tickets said it started at 10:30 but at 10:30 we were outside the venue, stuck in the car in massive traffic. we were stuck at 1 light for about 10-15 minutes and weren't moving, but they also had not let the crowd of people in at that point either so we weren't worried about getting in late. more just extremely annoyed to be in a non-moving car so close to where we wanted to be and not being able to just park. it didn't end up starting til around 11:15, so we had plenty of time to go in, get drinks, and get situated. i wasn't really very familiar with his comedy, but i'm really glad i went, it was fun. his puppets he used were an old man named walter who's always cranky, a terrorist skeleton (who was wearing a santa hat since they were practicing some routines that will be on the xmas dvd he'll be making in june), a purple guy named peanut, and a redneck named bubba j.

saturday morning i was really tired since we didn't get home til 2am. got off work at 5 and took an hour nap to prepare myself for richie's birthday party which was supposed to start at 8. had just enough time to get myself and the food/drinks/decorations ready with some help. the party had a good turnout, most people he thought were coming came. we made some crazy everclear/hawaiian punch concoction and that did me in pretty quickly. i drank lots of water to make sure i was ok though. rachel started us on shots and made us some other mixed drinks. when richie blew out the candles we filled up every shot glass in the house (somewhere around 20 of them) and had someone take a shot out of all of them.

yesterday was richie's actual birthday (21 finally!) and we went to a bar called captain larry's to celebrate. there were probably about 10 of us. we all had quite a bit to drink and the bartender was nice enough to hook us up really well for his birthday. for me, richie, andrea, perry, and eric to drink (and luke's red bull) the bill was only $26. richie says he had a wonderful birthday and he couldn't have asked for anything more!

this morning we woke up to find we had no running water, then looked outside and saw a big machine digging up the ground with tons of muddy water running down the street. a pipe must have burst and they were fixing it. it was out until about 2pm, right after i got back from taking a shower at my mom's house lol. later we are going to go out to buffalo wild wings since we were gonna do that for richie's birthday and ran out of time.

this weekend richie and i will be going to ocean city with luke, dave, andrea, perry, laura, and the guy laura is seeing. we went through so much shit to get a condo since most of the places didn't want to rent to us since we're not a "family" which really pissed me off. one place even took our reservation, a deposit from me, and then later called us back to tell us we couldn't have the place. if you only want families renting from you maybe you should include that on the website! there was even a $350 security deposit for the place, which i thought the purpose of that was to cover anything *OMG 20-SOMETHING YEAR OLDS* might break in a *drunken stupor* or whatever other stupid stereotypes they may have in their heads. the place we got seems real nice though, it's on 8th street and philadelphia ave, which is really close to everything. so we can walk everywhere if we want to.

richie, heather, jeff dunham, party, rachel
