THIS FUCKING MOVIE THO sorry I just thought now that I finally got the dvd I'll be able to make good hq caps LOL NO BYE GO HUNT FOR LQ CAPS NOW GPAGES. sigh. anyway. I'm very happy with how a few turned out :) the rest are mostly cropped from tumblr ~graphics (lol if you can call them that) and so yeah okay. I had a femlock phase. yeah.
FIRST I SHOULD TELL YOU ALL TO WATCH THIS FANTASTIC MOVIE ABOUT ENGLISH POET JOHN KEATS BY JANE CAMPION IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIE /EVER/ /fangirl
01: likefluffy → so I tried to recreate the fake background and two figures and just went a bit darker in the end ALSO FAVORITE SCENE ALERT
02: absolutelybatty → I took the idea of the shadowed face and tried to do something
03: theme → I wanted to try something with the crop and the light on her face
04: noise → I tried to crowd the icon with texture and text. In this scene, the poets are singing in a choir but keats is singled out so I thought it fitted. the text is from one of his poem.
05: reunion → fanny and her family are moving into keats' house and their room are right next to the other and they have a very emotional scene through a wall (yes, it's emotional, shush) AND YEAH BIG DAY FOR A FAN OF WALLS /doctorwho
06: justmyb0nes → HER CONTRAST THO JESUS I tried to get that perfect effect and failed
07: mm3butterfly → CHEAPKNOCKOFF.COM
08: music - every third hour → the song is sad and calm and idk I tried something clean and simple-ish and sad (Fanny learns that Keats and Browne are leaving for the summer)
09: music - sinnerman → I WAS SO TEMPTED TO SWITCH TO SHERLOCK JUST BECAUSE OF THIS. favorite scene alert numero dos: in this scene, Keats is very mad at Browne for sending Fanny a valentine card and instead of plastering my favorite quote on it like I always do (there is a holiness to the heart's affection, know you nothing of that) I wrote the lyrics in big bright colors. also that's when I decided to pick blue/purple for the color if I were to use one
10: half → yeah at this point I just went with the easy way
11: burst → FIRST KISS JDFHGJKVFD I chose burst because well, you know, emotions and that (and also you've been waiting for this moment since the first time they met so yeah, it's bursting emotions all around in this joint)
12: photograph → GPAGES USES TEXTURES. IT'S VERY EFFECTIVE (yes I'm super proud of this one okay)
13: silhouette → man the cinematography in this movie is amazing which basically means IT'S REALLY HARD TO MAKE ANYTHING BETTER WITH IT. the cap of ben is from the scene when keats comes back to get his stuff and Fanny takes them out for him AND THEY STARE AT EACH OTHER LONGINGLY AND THEY'RE SO IN LOVE IT HURTS YOUR SOUL

15: juanxo → HOW DO YOU DO BLOCKING JFC
16: adina_mpj → tried the whole negative space and textures thing. the text is a quote from the poem Bright Star which Keats wrote for Fanny /feelings
17: elegance → there is nothing elegant about this icon lbr but their poses in this scene ugh Keats is writing and Fanny just comes up behind him and they look perfect and MY HEART
18: print → there's a newspaper sort kinda texture. yes.
19: vintage → old texture to make the whole thing look grungy and a weird crop because I wanted to use this cap and it's impossible to work with when you only got one icon left
20: frame → SOBBING. this scene. ugh. and so yeah they are framed and on a bed of flowers and they're sad but they're together and CANT GO ON DROWNING IN FEELS ABOUT THIS MOVIE GOODBYE
