Well, I realized I haven't had a substantial update in over a week, so here goes. Nothing too exciting has been going on. Its that time in the semester when the work really starts to build up. At the same time, I am looking forward to going home for a week, eating some good food, and generally just relaxing (since i never seem to do any work over break, even when I should). New Zealand plans are really kicking into high gear, my dad purchased my plane ticket last week, so I'm kind of committed at this point. Of course, I'm still totally excited, its just really creeping up on me fast. School is.....school. While I really don't have too many assignments, the reading load is kicking up, and I'm having problems finding motivation. About the only thing keeping me going is my chance at a 4.0 this semester, which would simply kick ass. Its kind of funny, I skip Weather and Climate a fair amount, almost once per week. I missed the day he gave our tests back, so when I went to get it from him, he commented on how people who miss class tend to get the lowest grade. I looked down to see a happy 97 on my test. I also PDFed my politics seminar since my grades were averaging between a B and a B-, and since its not required for distribution or my major, I don't really need it to bring down my GPA. However, I may come to regret it, since I've gotten an A and an A- on my last two papers, but oh well.
This weekend has been fabulous this far. Mariama turned 21 on Monday, so Bob, Laura, and I had a little get together last night to celebrate. We made a delicious 3 course fondue meal (cheese, oil, and chocolate fondue), accompanied by a couple bottles of wine, which heightens any get together. We then managed to catch the last half hour or so of United States of Electronica, which was fun as usual, good to dance a little and enjoy some good music. It did kind of suck when the crowd started to get up on stage during the last song, like they did during dragfest, and the staff made them get off. After USE I went home and crashed. Got up this morning and went to Klickers with Rachel and Haakon. I had never been before, and came home with some habenero BBQ sauce, hot sauce, taffy, and homemade ice cream. However, now the rest of the weekend will probably consist of lots of homework. Tonight I'll probably get a little shitty and go to a party and maybe the BSU dance, haven't really decided yet.
On a final note, I have been listening to the album Permission to Land by the Darkness like nonstop this week. It is so good! I can't wait for their new one to come on out Nov. 28th. Rock rock on.
