Time for the post weekend update as usual. The parents came up for parents' weekend. It always interesting having them up here. I really have no ill feelings towards my parents in any regard, but having them up here always makes me irritated for some reason. Who knows. They came up Friday afternoon, and we went to the Whitman Sampler that I had to sing at. Afterwards, we went to dinner at the Brew Pub (the waitress basically told me she wouldn't have carded me if I had ordered anything, incidentally). I quickly ditched them to go party in Lyman which was pretty fun. Some friends had stocked a bar so I had an array of drinks like martinis, daquiris, and white russians.
Saturday, we went to Taco Truck for lunch and then my mom took me to Super One where I got tons of groceries (my dad elected not to go and watch us spend lots of money). They went wine tasting for a while, then we went to Bangkok for some dank-ass (yes, I said it) Thai food. We ended the night with the Whitman Sampler, which was pretty good, aside from an awkward moment when my friend Jon came up to me and yelled "Get out of my FUCKING house" (its a running joke). Then he noticed my parents standing right there, and I replied with "Hi Jon, meet my parents." Awkward.
Finally I met them for breakfast this morning at the Marcus Whitman where they're staying. Now they're on their merry little way home and I'm trapped in the library as usual. Fun times.
