I'm not an expert when it comes to US politics, with not living there and all but I try to keep at least somewhat on top of things since the outcome of the election will affect me and my country's economy whether I want it to or not
Still, I've been slipping this last week and I thought to check out some journals for highlights and got stuck at the first one I clicked;
after reading the article
Obama and the rules for Angry Black Men and the
This is your nation on White Privilege essay by Tim Wise A headache was already brewing but
this post with some of
nilchance s personal thoughts tipped me over the scales and all I can say is that I.DON'T.GET. IT.
I've been raised to think that all people are equal that no-one is worth more or less than anyone else and therefore all should have the same rights, no matter ones religion, nationality, age, gender or personal believes you should always respect your neighbors, It's common courtesy for Pete's sake *shakes head*
Also, to forbid women from deciding over their own bodies as to weather they feel ready/can afford/can take on another child or a child in the first place is fucked up! to forbid incest survivors and rape victims to have abortions is beyond wrong.
A child should be wanted and brought into the world with love to parents that are capable and confident in their ability to care for them, anything beyond that is unfair to the child and I resent the thought of a few people feeling that they have the right to decide the lives of so many individuals since a child has a huge impact on the world around them.
there, rant over.
