Oolong day
My huge tea order just arrived, I'm so exited. It will be a while before I get through all of them. And my tea book is waiting for me in the post office.
To better tell the difference I made three different oolongs. The ones I got today were left out of the comparison. The teas used:
Formosa Choice Oolong - Just pure oolong
Orange Flower Oolong - oolong with, surprise, orange flowers
La Luna Oolong - oolong tea, caramel candy, almond, honey pollen and malva.
There was taste difference, but it was much easier to tell them apart by looks, smell and colour. They were all amber, Formosa Choice was the darkest, almost brown and Orange Flower the lightest. I liked the aroma of Orange Flower best. Cousin said it tastes like it had cookies in it. XD Formosa's taste was both the strongest and the most unassuming, compared to it La Luna had a lighter note to it. I have had some trouble finding the right brewing time for Orange Flower, if I use the same as for others, it turns out way too weak.
In conclusion, I think I prefer La Luna, it has sweetness and character, but for everyday drink Formosa might be more fitting.
