I only wish I could say that it was a betrayal of faith...

... I found this on the blog of the founder of the renowned unofficial Anti-Idiotarian Party. He says he doesn't care to associate with a real political party, but just look at the kind of people who read his blog. They think of themselves as Anti-Idiotarian, and yet they said THAT?? Do any of them have any idea how FUCKING STUPID - and I cannot stress this anywhere near enough - how ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY FUCKING STUPIDEST-THING-WE-COULD-POSSIBLY-DO STUPID it would be to attack France?? Let me go through the list of highly probable, if not definite outcomes (in no particular order):
- Violation of LOTS of international treaties (on our part).
- Risk of getting very harsh sanctions placed on us by the UN.
- Greatly decreased support from countries around the globe.
- Complete and total destruction of any kind of friendship with a country that, despite popular opinion, is actually one of our great allies.
- The entire European Union on our asses (yes, Britain would probably succumb to the pressure).
- America's credibility decreasing even more than it already has.
- Extreme domestic political unrest.
- Loss of any possible future support from NATO, if not worse.

Yes, even the Bush administration can reach these conclusions, and that says a lot about people who can't. Get some fucking brains, idiots.

So many Americans have taken the September 11th attacks personally. In many cases I can understand that - lots of people had family members or friends that died or were hurt in some way. But seriously, this sort of thing happens in other countries every day, and if not on the same magnitude, they're nearly made up for in frequency. But, of course, to even talk about it as "making up" is utterly perverse. If you want to exact the civillian death toll from Iraqis - who, might I add, have never done anything to America - and from Afghans, then it's already been done; the so-called retalliation to the September 11th attacks, and the "War in Iraq" have killed many more civillians than died in the attacks on September 11th. Those attacks opened the door for the dumb to spread racism and virulent stupidity through America in the form of blind nationalism. From where I stand, it seems like the masses are just about ready to salute Bush and hail him as die grosse Fuhrer. While we're at it, let's completely ignore the fact that no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq! Oh, and don't contradict that last statement without first having looked through old news and actually finding something valid to with which to contest it. It really bothers me that people on both sides are so willing to accept things through hearsay and not actually research the facts. Anyway, moving right along. I hate it when people just think that all Islamic governments are bad, because they don't have our American value of freedom of religion. [sarcasm]But, of course we couldn't be wrong! We're America! We're free, so we're perfect![/sarcasm] Sorry guys, but it just so happens that the odds are vastly in favor of you being wrong. When it comes to this, someone beat me to the punch 2,600 years ago: in the words of Xenophanes, "if cattle or lions had hands so as to paint with their hands and produce works of art as men do, they would paint their gods and give them bodies in form like their own--horses like horses, cattle like cattle."

Of course I've got more to bitch about, but I'll end it here for now.
