Wow, I can't believe I almost forgot about this little half-finished gem on my HD. It's been sitting there for months now, just because I couldn't quite get the ending right. Well obviously, I figured that part out. XD. So here it is for your enjoyment

Rukia licking her Ichigo ice cream while the real Ichigo fumes about it.
I can picture him frowning as she is licking it.
But I love this story.

Hehe, yes that was pretty much the exact mental picture that spawned this. That and Rukia going on with the vendor about how good strawberry tastes, how nice and sweet and creamy, etc. And Ichigo standing there looking more and more uncomfortable with every word. XD

It's so, so rare to read this pairing and go - wow, that could actually happen! But you did it perfectly - everything from their argument to the "backhanded confession" and the not-so-great-but-still-great kiss. Wonderful. ♥

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree that it's hard to find things where it looks as though it could actually happen, so I try v. hard to write them in-character to that point. Especially considering that OOCness is one of my pet peeves. ^__^
