Looks Like October...
Feels like October too. It's been rainy for most of the month and we're only four days in. I admit to going to PA for the weekend (which is the only place I saw sun) but the second I got back to NY it was back to rain. And I don't normally mind. But I want to experience Autumn in all its colorful glory and so far it's not agreeing with what I want.
The day of the Halloween party is coming closer and closer. My family and I just bought a house last November (in PA which is why I went out there this weekend) and I've been wanting to hold either a party or a get together there for the last year. But I only feel festive like this during the holidays. So last year mom made dinner and we brought everything over to the house to have a get together with extended family and friends. This year, since my birthday falls close to Halloween the family thought it would be a good idea to hold both parties together so I've been busting my butt buying stuff for the Halloween part of the party. I'm not a fan of parties for my birthday, I'd much rather it go largely unnoticed and I'm usually ok if people just remember the day. But this year it seems it will indeed be a birthday party on top of a Halloween party so I keep thinking if I act like it's not my birthday, maybe it won't BE my birthday.

Anyways, my credit card took a hit over the weekend but if this party goes over well, I think it would've been worth it. Plus it's the beginning of the Fall holidays for me so I honestly can't wait till it gets here. On top of all that, I'm on Annual Leave the week between my birthday and Halloween. I can't wait. I just want to be able to sleep late, lol!
Anyhoo, I'm going to go update EoS in a bit and try to immerse myself in all things Halloween. I just wish it was sunny out.
