heads up

After a celebratory dim sum brunch (Mom and Dad's 39th wedding anniversary), I went on a trip to Pacific Fabrics with my mom today, and it looks like they are doing a corset-making class in October. Think we might sign up. Sounds pretty badass. I thought I'd post about it here on the off chance one of you will read this and want in, too. :3 It's a little pricey, but not unreasonable - 60 dollars for the three-course class (Tuesdays October 11th, 18th, and 25th) from 6-8:30, and then supplies.

In the mean time, we bought a bit of blueness for me to try making a nice hair thing to go with my adorable shirt waist dress that I've been dying to wear (still need to find the right shoes...), and we browsed pattern books in hopes of being able to make more cute retro-y dresses, since I fucking love those and don't really own any other than just the one I bought recently, but the one I fell in love with was petite sized. Which I am definitely not. DX

I keep getting more and more ideas for the masquerade show next month, but being a wiener and not getting any of it done. I gotta get on that! My dad's been working on more music, and he's been rehearsing with a string quartet to play some of it at the show! That should be really neat.

It's a tired, lazy day. I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep.
