Monster Allergy and Retreat Letters

You see, I'm allergic to two things.

One of those two things is the mass hysteria about Twilight. I guess it's about time I flat out admit that I'm not really a fan of this novel series. Actually, I dislike Twilight. But I wouldn't really want to say anything more than that.

Because for one, I have friends who love it, both RL and non-RL. I've been friends with them up to this point so I'm really wondering what this little confession would bring about. If they take it positively then that's great, but if they don't, then maybe they're being slightly narrow-minded. I've brought this topic up with my RL friends, about how I don't really like Twilight, and funny, because after the discussion, we just got on with our own lives like it never happened. I took it as a good thing.

Call me a killjoy or whatever, but I really find it unnerving to log onto my Y!M and see status messages like, "only a vampire can love you forever. c;". I'd rather do away with all this vampiric idealism stuff and just deal with reality. IDK, but I think the next Edward is coming on judgment day riding Halley's comet swinging his lasso.

The second allergy I have is... I don't even know where it came from.

So I was taking a shower early in the morning when I decided to look at my chest while I was scrubbing then I saw these tiny red dots all over my skin. And there weren't just a few of them. There were a lot. They were spread across my arms, over my back, then a few came riding along my thighs. And they itch. When I got out of the bathroom, I absently showed them to my sister who told me to show them to my mum. So I did and she told me it was most probably an allergy, but we didn't really know what caused them. I hadn't eaten anything strange the night before, so more or less the reason was a mystery. It was also the first time I had allergy that showed on the skin--because all my other allergies, my allergic reaction to milk when I was a baby and my allergic rhinitis from dust, didn't.

My mum just told me to have my classmates bring me to the clinic in case I felt like I couldn't breathe. When I came to school however, they had me sent to the clinic quickly because some of my classmates started claiming I had the measles. WHUT. One of my classmates said that only people who've contracted fevers the previous days are suspected of getting measles. And I haven't. But they sent me anyway because a friend told me they could contract my "measles". I seriously felt insulted. D:

During my stay at the clinic, I had really nice conversations with the school nurse, about studying, college career plans and all that future shiznit. I was almost put in an isolation room with a student who had measles--good thing, I always answered a solid 'NO' whenever the nurse asked if I had a fever the days before. I slept afterwards while waiting for the doctor to come. When the doctor finally came, she confirmed that all I had was a minor allergy, although I still didn't know what was the reason for it.

Despite the allergy, I'm still going to attend my retreat tomorrow. XD
And speaking of retreat, I made retreat letters! For everyone on my class. :P
