I have until March 21st to learn all of this. Is that even possible? Then all take the placement test and then maybe I'll take Japanese 3, assuming I do get placed into that grade. I'm not sure if I can even handle that class next quarter piled up with everything else but I'll try to make it work!

Talk about things you own
Tell how often you do certain things
Talk about things you did in the past
Read about someone's typical day
Write your Japanese pen pal about a typical day for you
Chapter 4: Japanese Cities
Talk about things and places in town
Tell where particular things, people, and places are
Describe and comment on particular things, people, and places
Identify items around you and who they belong to
Read a description of Japanese universities
Write about a place (bank, post office, etc) in Davis, telling where it is and how it looks
Chapter 5: Japanese Homes
Talk about buildings, people, and objects in relation to where you are
Describe the location of objects or people in relation to each other
Use pronouns to refer naturally to things just mentioned
Indicate the distance between places
Tell the amount of time involved in some activity or event
Read a description of a professor's office
Write a description of your room, telling what you have and where in the room things are located

Chapter 8: Shopping
Ask a shop clerk for assistance
Tell a store clerk your preferences when buying things (colors, sizes, prices, etc.)

Invite someone on the phone to some event, giving time and place
Accept and decline invitations in appropriate ways
Report to others something you heard
Order and make other requests at a restaurant
