Dreaming of Iran

Had a dream I was in Iran on some sort of vacation. I'd been staying in this hotel, and decided to go for a walk and see the sights. As I was wandering the city, I came across a river - and across from it was a huge expanse of city. For a moment, I thought I saw places I recognized -- the Ottawa skyline, the Toronto skyline, I even thought I saw Paris. It took me a moment to realize they'd built copies of famous monuments in this one sprawling city, that I could see on the horizon, and then I realized that the region curved inward, instead of outward ... so everything was sort of leaning in on each other. It gave me a horrendous feeling of vertigo, and I realized I didn't want to go there -- that I was so far from home, and by myself, and that I could get lost here easily. It felt disorienting and horrible, and I didn't want to be here.
I tried to get back to the hotel I was staying at, but the disorientation wasn't going away. Then I realized that it was too hot here, and I was wearing my winter jacket, and my thick 'winter t-shirt' (something I got from my late uncle, it's one of my favourite things), and that I was overdressed for the weather. I pulled off the jacket, but it didn't help.
On an underpass, I saw this guy drive by on a motorcycle, and he came up and around an apartment to see me -- he asked me some question I didn't understand, and when I tried to explain the circumstances, he waved me off in frustration and rode away, leaving me there all by myself.
Not a nightmare, but a very unpleasant dream.
