I am excited for thanksgiving. My sister is inundated in school work, and is teetering on not being able to make it, but i hope she makes the right decision. There are more important things then school work, but I guess those are lessons you learn later in life.
I have been feeling much relaxation since last Friday. A weight has been lifted up off my shoulders. I don't have to go to anymore unneccessary meetings and counseling sessions. Yay! I am looking into part time residential work starting january. I think humanim sounds the most promising. I was thinking about working some PRN hours.. about 15 hours a week. This will definately help beef up my experience. Then the long term plan is to get my LGSW (then eventually LCSW) in about 5 years. The program, because of the field placement, requires that I can not have a full time job. It's just not possible. So I need to be able to save up enough money, or to live off of student loans (which i really do NOT want to do)
This saturday I will be seeing Umphrey's McGee for the first time too. I am really excited about that. I will be promoting for Marc's band the Rez too (myspace.com/therezband) Umphrey's is playing the 9:30 club, which is one of my favorite venues. Yay :)
Steve and I are slowly mending. but its rough. Its like crawling back from the depths of hell through the rocky mountains, if that makes any sense at all.
Work is going pretty good. We got a new client so we are busting our butts to meet their needs.. but there is one person on board that everytime we take three steps forward they take us 2 steps back. So who knows how much longer they will be on board for.
I have no complaints. It is starting to get cold. but that is relieving to me. It's weird having 60 degree weather in the middle of November.. so it dropping down to a normal temperature range for November is a good thing.
I have been watching The Wire, and I am down to the last season. I have no idea what I am going to do with myself when I finish watching the Wire, but I am sure I will figure it out. It was an awesome series, and I highly recommend it to anybody.. even if you never been to Baltimore. It really sucks you in.
Well happy Gobble Gobbles! And remember, there are starving kids in Somalia. So don't waste food. Any left overs? Take it to a shelter :)
