I have broken out of the trenches and gone into the No Man's Land of my bathroom: the shower enclosure and tub.
I started with the rust stain under the tap, with salt and lemon juice. It takes elbow grease, but it really works! Works to shine the taps, too. Then I tried rubbing with a little borax, and that
really lifted the soap scum. I just put borax in my gloved hand, added a little water, and rubbed at the wall. It was like finger-painting in reverse! It's interesting cleaning things when you don't know what color they were in the first place. I didn't get as much done as I wanted, and I didn't get the cabinet cleaned out, but I got a new shower curtain liner and put that and the newly cleaned curtain back up, and the whole place looks better, so I'm pleased. And I was only in there for an hour or two!
I'm seeing the end of this campaign, and am already planning the attack on the kitchen.*
*Yes, I am obsessing. There are worse things to be obsessing over.
